Blake Lively is not such a ’lively’ club-goer
Blake Lively may play recovering bad girl Serena van der Woodsen on CW’s hit show “Gossip Girl” but the blond beauty swears she’s not a crazy party girl in real life.
“I don’t really like to go out. I’ll go listen to live jazz, but the club scene isn’t so fun for me,” the 21-year-old actress revealed in the December issue of W Magazine.
Lively does, however, enjoy some of the perks of stardom that come in the form of accessories.
I probably have, like, 60 gorgeous bags. I have a closet with my really sharp, fancy, nice ones - the ones that go with my Valentino pumps, for example. And then I have a closet with the ones that are a little more rugged-feeling - the kind that go with my Belstaff motorcycle boots,” she told the fashion mag.
Lively, who grew up in California, first made it big in the big-screen version of “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.” But she insists that the transition from movies to television isn’t too bad.
“I’ve been learning as I’m going along. . . . Now I’m loving being on the show more than I ever could have imagined. It has been just the most amazing experience anybody could ever ask for,” she said.
But the “Gossip Girl” star isn’t a fan of media Gossip about the relationship she has with co-star Leighton Meester.
“I’ve never really had a competitive relationship in any work situation. The media is always trying to pit us against each other,” she said. “I guess because it’s just not interesting to say, ‘Everyone gets along; everybody just works 18-hour days and goes home to sleep.’ That’s not fun to read, I guess.’
